Israel Kamakawiwo'ole

Israel Kamakawiwo'ole was a Hawaian singer that died of obesity at the age of 38 - but left behind the unforgettable version of Over the Rainbow.  In memory of him and his song that brings memories as well.

Somewhere over the rainbow
Way up high
In the land that I heard of
Once, once in a lullaby

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare you dream
Really do come true

Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds
Are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops that's where you'll find me

Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds
Are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops that's where you'll find me

Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams that you dare to dream
Really do come true

If happy little bluebirds fly
Above the rainbow
Why, oh why, can't I

i first heard it in the movie, Finding Forrester, a nice movie too, but the song is just that...incredible. Sharing the podium with my other favorite, Cohen's Suzanne (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=30egIKHT-pM)

hehe...

Cohen seems too slow 4 me at all...

From songs dedicated 2 girls: Sweet Jane's from Reed has also good versions...and Angie ( rolling stones), or NOIA DE PORCELLANA ( porcelain girl...from PAU RIBA...remember that strange man recovered from past for the mercè, i told about him driving from bohí to cavallers)...

Music is an inmense world...
